“1st National Weight Category Full-Contact (Kyokushin-Seishin) Karate Tournament-2016”

Nepal Kyokushin-Seishin Kaikan Karate Association has finished “1st National Weight Category Full-Contact (Kyokushin-Seishin) Karate Tournament-2016” held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from February 19 to 20, 2016 organized by Nepal Kyokushin-Seishin Kaikan Karate Association with the Chairmanship of Shihan Ashok Kumar Shrestha. More than 100 Karate students participated in the event from different district of the country.
The results of the “1st National Weight Category Full-Contact (Kyokushin-Seishin) Karate Tournament-2016” are following below:
In women’s categories Nikki Thim (open kg), Ronisha Thim (50kg), Anita Darji (45kg), Ashmita Nepali (40kg), Janaki Rokkaya (35kg), Ashtha Lama (30kg) and in men’s categories Ganesh Lama (open kg), Samir Tamang (50kg), Saroj Tamang (45kg), Nikesh Man Kayestha (40kg), Bikash Maharjan (35kg), Rukesh Makai (30kg), and Sajan Magar (25kg) clinched Gold medals.
In women’s categories Urmila Budha (open kg), Karuna Sunuwar (50kg), Rubi Dangal (45kg), Sanu Tamang (40kg), Ujeli Rawol (35kg), Sapana Thapa (30kg) and in men’s categories Santosh Kumar Gupta (open kg), Arjun Lama (50kg), Umesh Chaudhari (45kg), Aman Kumar Mahato (40kg), Bishal Lama (35kg), Dipak Kumar Thakur (30kg), and Prabesh Karnajit (25kg) clinched Silver medals
In women’s categories Akriti Puri (open kg), Kiran Dhakal (50kg), Arati Kumari Thakur (45kg), Anusha Chaudhari (40kg), Sabina Budha (35kg), Rupa Nepali (30kg) and in men’s categories Rahul Budhathoki (open kg), Raju Tamang (50kg), Ajay Tamang (45kg), Rupak Shrestha (40kg), Rajendra Jimba (35kg), Krishna Upreti (30kg), and Suprit Tamang (25kg) clinched Bronze medals.
In women’s categories Kamala Baniya (open kg), Ashmita Tamang (50kg), Sumi Shrestha (45kg), Jashmin Dangal (40kg), Swastika Shrestha (35kg), Rojina Karki (30kg) and in men’s categories Ashutosh Bhandari (open kg), Niraj Shrestha (50kg), Manoj Lama (45kg), Deep Mishra (40kg), Rajendra Jimba (35kg), Kiran Shrestha (30kg), and Pranaya Tamang (25kg) clinched Best Fighter.
The chief Guest of the event Vice-president of Nepal Olympic Committee, Ms. Jyoti Rana, Special Guest President of World Kyokushin kai Karate organization and World Seishin Kaikan Karate Organization KANCHO SEISHIN IWASHITA, the Chairperson Shihan Ashok Kumar Shrestha, Honorary President Nepal Olympic Committee, Mr. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan, Kathmandu District sports development committee secretary Lilaram Basnet, Advisor and Kathmandu District sports development committee president D.B. Ranapal, distributed trophy, medals and certificates to the winners with the presence of many other high sports personalities.
